We are a family of three - Daddy Dima, Mommy Kathy and Princess Sophia Isabelle.

Sophia was born on March 25th, 2021, and from the moment we first held her, we knew our world had changed in the most beautiful way. She filled our hearts with a love and joy we could never have imagined. Watching her grow, learn, and explore the world around her has been a remarkable experience. However, when Sophia turned two, our journey took a new path. After much observation, love, and care, we received a diagnosis: Autism.

From that moment, our lives began to shift as we navigated this new chapter. Autism is a word that may sound unfamiliar or even daunting to some, but for us, it has simply become part of who we are as a family. It’s part of Sophia’s unique brilliance, her perspective on the world, and the special qualities that make her our Princess.

This journey has been both challenging and beautiful. It’s a journey of understanding, patience, and growth, not just for Sophia, but for all of us. As parents, we’ve learned so much about advocacy, resilience, and the power of love. Every step Sophia takes, every milestone she reaches, and every day that she teaches us something new is a gift.

We know that Autism comes with its own set of challenges. Some days are hard. There are times when we struggle to communicate, times when our patience is tested, and times when we simply need to pause and breathe. But through it all, we’ve also experienced moments of incredible joy. Sophia’s laughter, her little victories, the way she lights up when she learns something new, and her pure heart – all of these moments remind us that our family is unique and special, in the best way possible.

We’ve learned that the road doesn’t always look like we imagined, but it’s our road. We’ve discovered the importance of celebrating the small wins, of finding beauty in the everyday, and of cherishing the moments when we all come together as a family, strong, connected, and full of love.
